Sanskrit Letters

This group is the Yavarga Class of Letters. The presiding deity is Aindri or Indrani. This group of letters is considered whole with the two letters which stood out in the previous group: purusha and prakriti. These seven tattvas, from maya to purusha, are said to make up the suddhasuddha (pure-impure)realm. They are actinodic or spiritual-magnetic energy. Antinodic is a word that describes a mixture of odic and actinic force. Actinic is from the Greek aktis, meaning ray. The Oxford Dictionary defines it as a radiation of heat or light. It is a property or force in a sun's ray by which chemical changes are produced, as in photography, which makes the idea worth taking note of. The ray of light begins in one state and ends up in another. In relation to consciousness it is pure. This is mixed with odic force found in the lower astral planes and physical realms. It is a rarified state of the primary gross enegy of nature, a force of attraction and repulsion found in magnets, crystals, heat, light and chemical action.

We are now entering our soul identity. Even though this set of tattvas is still found in the realm of bound souls, it has risen to the "plane of greatness" or maharloka found in the higher astral plane. The sphere is vidyakala, also known by anukarana chitta . It is above the realm of intellect and instinct. The Saivite, Swami Subramuniyaswami, speaks of this as subsuperconsciousness awareness and cognition. The first being an awareness of forms in their totality in progressive states of manifestation. The second being a cognition of the interrelated forces of the spiritual and magnetic energies. Chakras 6 through 35 can all be found in the subtle body (astral body), in this case, it is a more refined astral body on the higher astral plane. Here the veiling powers of Maya take place. It is a cloaking of the Supreme Consciousness which creates the experience of limited consciousness and is the basis of basic individual consciousness.

Yavarga: la, ya, ra, la, va

Tattva 11. Raga Tattva - Attachment and Desire without which no experience of the objective world is possible. This tattva veils Iccha (basic supreme will to create) to create a sense of a fragile, limited, weak will power. The next six tattvas are on the same level as the level of Purusha explained above. Here, the soul is connected with subjectivity rather than objectivity.

Tattva 10. Action Tattva - Kalaa: veils kriya (unlimited power to act) to create the sense of limited powers and abilities, and helplessness. Creativity, aptitude, the power which draws the soul toward spiritual knowledge. Its energy partially removes the veil of anava which clouds the inherent powers of the soul.

Tattva 9. Knowing Tattva - Vidya: veils Jnana (unlimited knowledge of supreme creation) to create the experience of limited knowledge and understanding. It is a limited knowledge that gives the soul practical knowledge in accord with its present life experiences.

Tattva 8. Karma Tattva - Niyati: Fate or Destiny. This is a tattva of the law of cause and effect. It veils the experience of all-pervasiveness to create the sense of limited existence in one place stuck amongst vast areas that are different and seperate from you.

Tattva 7. Time Tattva - Kaala: Kriya (unlimited power to act) to create the sense of limited power and abilities, and helplessness. Veils the experience of the single supreme infinite moment to create the sense of the limited sequential flow of time. To calculate.

Tattva 6. Maya Tattva: mirific energy, the material cause of the impure sphere, basic veiling power of Supreme Consciousness creating the experience of limited Consciousness (Purusha) from unlimited consciousness. 'Ma" means measure, a finite or limiting principle of the divine.
