is called Naraka. It consists of 7 hellish planes of lower consciousness.

1. Put (atala chakra) is the first chakra below the muladhara. It translates as the bottomless region, a region of fear and lust. This is the first astral netherworld beneath the earth's surface. This hellish region of consciousness is called Put (childless.

2. Avichi (vitala chakra) is the second chakra below the muladhara. It translates as the region of negation in the second astral netherworld. This hellish region of consciousness is called Avichi (joyless.

3. Samhata (sutala chakra) is the third chakra below the muladhara. It translates as the great depth, a region of obsessive jealousy and retaliation. This is the third astral netherworld beneath the earth's surface. This hellish region of consciousness is called Samhata (abandoned.

4. Tamisra (talatala chakra) is the fourth chakra below the muladhara. It translates as the lower region, a region of chronic mental confusion and unreasonable stubborness.
